Malang, July 23, 2025 – The Department of Informatics Engineering, Faculty of Science and Technology, UIN Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang, congratulates Prof. Dr. Ir. Muhammad Faisal, S.Kom., MT., on his official inauguration as Professor in the field of Intelligent Information Technology Engineering. The ceremony took place solemnly in the Auditorium of the Dr. (HC) Ir. Soekarno Building, 5th Floor, and was attended by academics, colleagues, and invited guests.

The title of Prof. Dr. Faisal’s scientific speech was: Faisal’s theme is “Intelligent Information Technology Engineering as a Pillar of Innovation Towards Society 5.0,” emphasizing the role of this system, which works integratively and adaptively through five main components: IoT for collecting data from the physical environment; Big Data for storing and managing large-scale data; AI/ML for intelligent analysis and automated decision-making; Digital Twin as a digital representation of real systems; and Human-Centric Interface that connects humans with technological outcomes. All of these components interact in an intelligent data cycle that creates a responsive and autonomous ecosystem for the benefit of the community.

The event opened with the reading of the Professorial Decree by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, followed by remarks from the Chair of the Senate and the Rector of UIN Malang. Equally touching, the Professorial Profile session showcased Prof. Faisal’s academic journey—from his dedication as a lecturer to his contributions to the development of IT in Indonesia.

Present at the event were Deans, Professors, Informatics Engineering Lecturers, Education Staff, and Prof. Faisal’s colleagues from various institutions. Their presence demonstrated their deep appreciation for his work and dedication in higher education.
